as corn and potato. PLA is biodegradable and fully compostable. It uses 65%

less energy to produce than conventional oil-based plastics and generates

PLA polylactic acid is also known as polylactide and belongs to the polyester family. Polylactic acid is a polymer obtained by polymerization of lactic acid as the main raw material.
